Atom, Can You Hear Me?

Atom, can you hear me
On the Eve of your discovery?
Are you shell-shocked by this revelation?
Are you still too blind to see?

Has this information caused dissention?
Has it split you clean in two?
On the Eve of your discovery
Did you know it was you who blew?

Shattering into a million rainbows
Kaleidoscopes of connectivity
And when you bit that poisoned apple
No longer could you see.

Then the mist enshrouded you
As you fell onto the earth
And a thousand demons plagued you -
All of whom you birthed.

You collaborated with kin
Your manmade veneers soon layered the land
And as it raised you from your roots
You imagined your rise grand.

Layer upon layer of illusion
Raised you slowly towards the skies
An imagined Heaven you pursued
Ignoring your roots, where Heaven lies.

Adam, can you hear me
On the Eve of your discovery?
Can you remember before the split -
Before there was a 'we'?

A 'we' that was really an 'I'
In disguise all along
This 'I': The only One who sees
This 'I': Where you belong.

Adam, can you hear me
On the Eve of your discovery?
