The Stream

If one

Travels far enough

To before

The stream branches

You will see

You are but

A differentiation

Of the one stream

A branch

That may feed flowers

Or thorns

Upon its banks

That may be lush and green with life

Or apocalyptic and barren

Used for baptisms

Or drownings

To cleanse

Or destroy

To soothe

Or to trouble

Yet all are

The same water

From the one and only stream.
